Service Dogs, Therapy Dogs and Emotional Support Animals

Service Dogs, Therapy Dogs and Emotional Support Animals all provide very important services - but they are VERY different!

If you are interested in visiting others with your dog to brighten their day and have some fun - that's a Therapy Dog!

If your dog comforts you just by being there, and helps you get through the day - that's an Emotional Support Dog!

If your dog provides specific skills that are trained to assist you with every days tasks, that you could not do without - that's a Service Dog!

If you just want to "certify" your dog for service so you can take him with you anywhere - that is NOT a valid service dog and is illegal in most states!

Service Dogs

International Assoc. of
Assistance Dog Partners (IAADP)
(Provider Member)

Service dogs come in all shapes and sizes; depending on the service they are providing. Large dogs are often used for mobility tasks, small dogs are often preferred for hearing assist and medical alert. Service dogs can be any breed, as long as they have a suitable temperament for the work!

Each of our programs are custom tailored to the individual dog/handler. To start, every dog/handler must go through an evaluation to determine suitability for the work. From there, we will work with you to create a road map to success. Our service dog program is approximately 120 hours of guided education over a period of 6 months. Please contact us for additional information.
