Private Sessions
Does your dog have a “creative” interpretation of obedience? Or perhaps they find the excitement of a group class a little too inspiring? We get it. Every dog learns differently, and sometimes the classroom setting isn’t the right fit for the student.
Private sessions are the perfect solution for dogs that need a quieter environment to learn, or for owners who want to deep-dive into specific issues without distractions. You get our full attention, immediate feedback on your handling, and a training plan that actually fits your lifestyle.

Group Classes
Forget boring drills and hours of “sit-stay-repeat.” We believe training should be the highlight of your dog’s week, not a chore. Our classes are game-based, concept-driven, and designed to actually be fun—because dogs (and humans) learn best when they’re enjoying themselves.
We purposely limit our classes to just four or five students. This ensures you aren’t just a face in the crowd; you get the coaching you need to truly understand your dog. Our goal isn’t just a well-behaved pet; it’s to help you build a partnership where you and your dog work as a seamless team.
Neighborhood Classes
It takes a village to raise a dog—so why not train the whole village? If you have a group of friends or neighbors (minimum of 4), we will bring the REACH K9 experience right to your backyard or a location of your choice.
You tell us the goal—whether it’s loose leash walking, a “Neighborhood CGC” prep, or just better manners—and we will build a custom game-based curriculum just for your group. It’s the perfect way to socialize, have fun, and get every dog on the block speaking the same language.
Format: Available as a one-time workshop or a scheduled series.

Testing & Certifications
Ready to turn your training into a title? We are certified evaluators for the top organizations in the dog world. From basic manners to movie-star tricks, we can help you make it official.
We offer testing for:

Grooming
A healthy dog is a happy dog, and coat care is a huge part of that equation. We don’t just want your dog to behave well; we want them to feel their best, too.
We are thrilled to offer full-service grooming with our professional groomer, Carter. Whether you need a heavy-duty de-shed, a breed-specific cut, or just a really good bath, Carter brings an expert touch to the table. He focuses on making the experience low-stress for your dog, so they leave looking sharp, smelling fresh, and feeling great.
Want to learn the ropes? Carter is also available for private grooming lessons! If you are nervous about nail trims or unsure about coat care, Carter can teach you the best techniques for daily maintenance. It’s the perfect way to build confidence and keep your pup healthy and comfortable between professional visits.

Toss & Fetch League
Powhatan Toss & Fetch League! Ready to join the team? REACH K9 is thrilled to host the local chapter of the K9 Toss & Fetch League. This is a judgment-free zone open to all breeds and all skill levels—you definitely don’t need a rockstar disc dog to get started!
We strive to make the sport accessible and safe for everyone. In addition to standard air catches, there is a “Roller” option, where the disc rolls along the ground. This keeps your best friend’s feet safely on the turf—perfect for puppies, senior dogs, or handlers who want a little more control.
Worried about your off-leash reliability? No problem. You are welcome to play on a long line if your recall isn’t quite up to snuff yet.
Come out to set new goals, burn off energy, and hang out with the best dog people in Powhatan.

Day Care, Boarding, and Board & Train
Residency Services: Day Care, Boarding & Board & Train Because we welcome dogs into our home, we are extremely selective about our guest list. These services are available exclusively to current clients with whom we have an established relationship. We do not offer boarding or day care to the general public. (Just one more reason to become a REACH K9 student—join the exclusive inner circle and unlock benefits like these!)
Board & Train: While we offer limited Board & Train slots, our core philosophy is that we want to teach YOU how to train your dog. A dog that listens to a trainer is great; a dog that listens to you is the goal. However, we understand that sometimes a “jump start” or intensive intervention is needed. These programs are discussed on a case-by-case basis and always require owner participation for the transfer of skills.
